Frosty the snowman looked at the bright sun. 'I wonder what summer feels like,' he whispered.
A little girl in a blue coat came close. 'I will keep your hat safe until winter comes back,' she said.
The spring sun grew warm. Frosty melted away, but his hat stayed on the ground.
All through summer, the girl kept the hat safe in her room. She told it stories of sunshine and flowers.
When autumn leaves fell, the girl carried the hat outside. The first snow began to fall.
She placed the hat on a new snowman. 'Welcome back, friend,' she said. The snowman smiled.
