In a dusty little library on a quiet red planet, a small robot named Bolt dusted the shelves. Every seed packet was empty but one.
‘A sunflower!’ whirred Bolt. He held the last seed in his metal hand. It was warm and tiny.
Bolt dug a small hole in the dusty ground outside the library. He placed the seed inside and patted the dirt.
Every day, Bolt poured a tiny cup of recycled water on the spot. He waited and waited.
One morning, a small green stem pushed through the dust. It grew tall and strong, with a big yellow flower.
Bolt collected the new seeds from the sunflower and placed them in the library. ‘Now,’ he said, ‘we can plant more.’
